What is the Electromagnetic Spectrum?

Glossary Definition

The electromagnetic spectrum is the combination of all of the various frequencies of electromagnetic radiation. This includes radio waves, WiFi, microwaves, radiant heat, visible light, ultraviolet, x‑rays and gamma rays. Each of these is a different frequency of electromagnetic radiation.

We use different portions of the electromagnetic spectrum to create images that are useful for various surveillance needs. For more information, please see our Multi-Sensor Systems Explained page.
