What is an X-Hot Thermal Imaging Sensor?

Glossary Definition

X-Hot is a cooled thermal sensor technology that is based on a semiconductor superlattice design which allows it to run at significantly higher temperatures than InSb and MCT. This greatly reduces the workload of the cryo cooler and therefore extends cooler lifetime, and minimizes costly maintenance. Core sensitivity is very high at 0.025°C. Our X-Hot sensors also feature advanced DICE (Dynamic Image Contrast Enhancement) processing, defective pixel replacement, gaussian noise reduction filter, and automatic gain control (AGC). All of these features come together to create an optimized image with maximum clarity and contrast.
