What is XBn/XBp?

Glossary Definition

A cooled thermal camera sensor type made out of either an InAsSb or an AlSbAs superlattice grown on top of a GaSb (gallium antimonide) substrate, they typically run at much hotter temperatures than InSb and MCT sensors (around 150K compared to 77K & 110K). This leads to less stress (and costly maintenance required) on the cooled thermal camera’s cryogenic cooling system.
